From the northernmost reaches of Scotland to the bustling streets of London, the UK is gearing up for a season of inclusivity and celebration. These events not only provide a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community but also offer a space for allies to show their support and solidarity. Northern Celebrations: Edinburgh and Caithness Pride

Kicking off the summer festivities, Pride Edinburgh on 20 June promises to be a spectacular event. Known as the biggest and longest-running Pride in Scotland, it combines activismmusicand community spirit. The parade will march through the heart of the city, followed by a Community Fair, Queer Creatives Market, and Main Stage performances featuring Cher LloydKah-Loand Kelli-Leigh.

On the same day, Caithness Pride will take place in Thurso, celebrating love and inclusion in the UK mainland’s northernmost Pride. This relatively new event, which started in 2026, welcomed over 1,000 visitors last year. The parade begins on Thurso High Street, with additional workshops and live music events throughout the day.

Coastal and Local Pride Events

For those looking for a more intimate experience, Dartmouth Pride on 27 June offers a charming coastal celebration. The event kicks off with a Pride Walk starting at Dartmouth Castle at 10:30 am, followed by a festival at Royal Avenue Gardens featuring live music and market stalls. The day concludes with a Late Pride Afterparty at Dartmouth Yacht Club at 6:30 pm.

Hackney Pride Fayre on 28 June is perfect for a relaxed and fun day out. This council-funded programme includes two markets run by LGBTQIA+ traders, workshops such as self-defence and bedazzling, talks, and an end-of-day cabaret. The events take place at Chatsworth Road market, Chats Palace, and Homerton Library, offering a variety of activities to explore.

Summer Festivals: Belfast, North Wales, and Happy Valley

Belfast Pride Festivalrunning from 17 to 26 Julyis turning 35 this year. The multi-day festival includes a Pride Parade on 25 July beginning at Custom House Square. Applications for community groups, unions, businesses, and organisations to march in the parade are still open and will close on 30 June 2026.

North Wales Pride returns on 18 Julyhosted in Holyhead. The day includes stalls and activities, followed by an evening of music and drag at the Ucheldre Centre. The evening will be hosted bilingually by comedian Katie Gillwith performances including Justin Drag and Liam J Edwards.

Happy Valley Pride in Hebden Bridge runs from 18 to 26 Julycelebrating its 10th anniversary. The event includes a range of activities, such as a Big Day Out at Calder Holmes Park featuring La Voix.

Iconic Pride Events: Liverpool and Brighton & Hove

Liverpool Pride on 25 July is another highlight of the summer. The parade will see thousands take to the streets to march for LGBTQIA+ visibility. The opening party on 24 July features British icons like the Sugababes, Bimini, and Tia Kofi, along with local LGBTQIA+ community performers.

Brighton & Hove Pride from 1 to 2 August offers a wide range of events. The Community Parade on 1 August has the theme “The Power of Love,” expressed through solidarity, resistance, and community. The Street Party on 1 and 2 August features Gok Wan and a DJ set from Bimini. For those preferring a festival vibe, Pride on the Park features headliners Raye and Diana Ross.
