The LGBTQ community came together to honor its brightest stars at the 2026 PEUGEOT Attitude PRIDE Awards Europe held at the Chancery Rosewood in London. This annual event, supported by British Airways brought together a constellation of icons, artists, and activists to celebrate their contributions to the community.
The evening was a vibrant tapestry of performances, speeches, and heartfelt moments, all under the watchful eye of host Emma Willis known for her work on Strictly Come Dancing. The event not only celebrated achievements but also served as a powerful reminder of the progress made and the work still to be done.
Honoring the Pride Icons
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Pride Icon Awards to three remarkable individuals. Placebo the iconic ’90s rock band known for hits like Nancy Boy and Pure Morning received the award alongside Cat Burns the talented singer of People Pleaser fame, and James Longman a respected journalist from ABC.
These awards recognized the profound impact these individuals have had on the LGBTQ community. Placebo’s music has been a soundtrack for many, while Cat Burns’ open discussions about her identity have inspired countless fans. James Longman’s journalism has brought important stories to light, fostering understanding and acceptance.

The red carpet was a spectacle in itself, with attendees dazzling in their finest attire. Jessica Kellgren-Fozard one of the award winners, arrived in style, embodying the spirit of the event. Tiara Skye a former Attitude cover girl, presented an award to Tuntenball’s Joe Niedermayer adding to the evening’s glamour.
Delta Goodrem the Eurovision star, opened the show with a captivating performance of Eclipse setting the tone for a night filled with music and celebration. Dr Ranj a regular contributor to Attitude, was also in attendance, along with Juno Dawson who stepped out in style.
Award Winners and Special Moments
The evening was filled with special moments, including Denise Welch presenting an award to Grace Richardson Miss England. Grace, who later posed with her award backstage, is on her way to the Miss Universe competition. Cat Burns showcased her Pride Icon Award, while James Longman shared the stage with Ben Thompson from the BBC.
Cliff Joannou the editor-in-chief of Attitude, made a memorable entrance in a white dress, fresh from his wedding the night before. Olly Pike the newly announced CEO of the Attitude Magazine Foundation, also shared a word with the audience, highlighting the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support the LGBTQ community.
A Grand Finale
The night culminated with a powerful performance by Heather Small the iconic voice of M People. She closed the show with a rendition of her Pride anthem, Proud leaving the audience inspired and uplifted. The performance was a fitting end to a night that celebrated love, acceptance, and the power of community.
