Audible is set to release a groundbreaking adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula featuring a stellar cast led by Jonathan Bailey in the titular role. This ambitious project will be available in seven languages with the English version debuting on October 1, 2026.
The adaptation promises to transport listeners into the heart of the story with an immersive audio experience that highlights the psychological thriller at the core of Stoker’s classic novel.
An All-Star Cast Brings Dracula to Life
The English-language version boasts a remarkable ensemble, including Ella Purnell as Mina, Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy, Louis Partridge as Jonathan, David Jonsson as Dr. Seward, Lesley Manville as Mrs. Westenra, and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing.
Each language version features renowned actors in the roles of Dracula and Mina, such as Omar Sy and Deva Cassel for the French adaptation, Riccardo Scamarcio and Benedetta Porcaroli for Italian, and Matthias Schweighöfer and Jeanne Goursaud for German.
A Psychological Battle Between Mina and Dracula
The story focuses on Mina Murray’s perspective as she investigates a series of mysterious events after her fiancé disappears in Transylvania. Through letters, diary entries, and testimonies, Mina uncovers that Dracula is not only hunting those around her but may also be targeting her mind.

The adaptation is directed by Mary Lambert known for her work on the horror film Pet Sematary and features an original score by Ilan Eshkeri.
Release Dates and Availability
The English, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish, and Latin American Spanish versions will be available on October 1, 2026. The German version is scheduled for February 9, 2027 with the Brazilian Portuguese adaptation following later that year.
This adaptation joins Audible’s growing roster of all-star productions, including Pride and Prejudice and 1984 as well as the full-cast audiobooks of the Harry Potter series.
