Liverpool Pride is set to make a triumphant return this summer with a major relaunch following last year’s cancellation. The festival, which will take place on 24-25 July 2026promises an expanded program of music, community events, and nightlife, aiming to attract visitors from across the UK.
The event marks a significant rebuild for Liverpool Pride, which faced financial pressures and funding difficulties last year. Organizers are determined to create a more inclusive and ambitious celebration that honors the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community.
Headline Performances at M&S Bank Arena
The festivities kick off on Friday 24 July at the M&S Bank Arena with a concert featuring SugababesBeth Dittoand Biminiamong other notable acts. The lineup also includes Tia KofiHouse Gospel Choirand Horse Meat Discoensuring a diverse and exciting musical experience.
Proceeds from the opening concert will support Sahir Housea Liverpool-based LGBTQ+ and HIV charity that has been instrumental in organizing this year’s celebrations. Mark Christopherson of Sahir House expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We’ve worked hard to rebuild something bigger, more inclusive and more ambitious.”
Community Events and the Pride March
On Saturday 25 Julythe city’s annual Pride March will return, bringing together thousands of participants in a visible show of solidarity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. The march will be followed by a community program hosted by local drag performer Debbie Darling at the Liverpool Experience Campus on the waterfront.
Performers for the waterfront event include SoniaHouse of Suarezand Jester Boyamong other special guests. The community program aims to showcase LGBTQ+ talent and voices, fostering a sense of unity and celebration.
City-Wide Celebrations and Nightlife
Liverpool Pride 2026 will extend far beyond a single event, with activities taking place across the city center. The Liverpool Pride Expo will bring together businesses, creatives, and community organizations, creating a hub for connection and celebration.
To support the expanded program, dedicated transport will operate across the Pride Quartermaking it easier for visitors to explore key venues such as The LisbonOMGSuperstar BoudoirHeavenThe Masqueradeand GBar. The city’s compact center and rich cultural heritage offer a distinctive Pride experience that combines accessibility with scale.
James Doherty of the LCR Pride Foundation emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “Pride is a protest, a celebration, and a promise to our community. This year, we are making good on that promise.” The foundation’s efforts have been crucial in rebuilding Liverpool Pride into a major UK LGBTQ+ event.
